What a Friend

John 16: 23-24

23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

Again Jesus bridges the gap between the Old Testament and the New Testament in that before Jesus people had to pray to the high priest and the high priest would pray to God for them. Now that we have Jesus, we can go to Him directly, presenting ourselves to Him and asking Him anything even down to the smallest request anyone can think of.

yes, What a friend I have in Jesus! and your right, no matter how big or small I can go to him anytime of day or night and ask and he hears me....that has always amazed me...out of millions of people praying he hears me, but I don't always hear him and I get so mad at myself for that! but my friend Jesus is always there for me, just like my friends here on earth. I love him so much Phyllis just like a daughter does love her father!
How was your painting day yesterday?

Hello dear Phyllis, just getting caught up on the last few days...hope your day of painting was fun and inspirational...and it is a beautiful thing that we have Jesus to rely on, to listen to us. I often find a lesson in my own requests and those I have heard from others. I so appreciate what a friend we have in Jesus and it's nice to know nothing is miniscule to Him or our Heavenly Father.

wishing you blessings in your day ~
