You can't change anything anyone else does, but you can change what you do. Feel proud that you have the ability to do good. It's the power given to us by Him.

Hugs back, Phyllis

Joni: That mental baggage can get pretty heavy if we don't ask for help... right? You are so right, once again. Day day just got tranquil... the girls are both asleep for naps.

Hugs and so glad to hear from you, Phyllis

Kimberly, Be careful with those fries. I'm the only one I have ever met that eats them with syrup. I think it might be that when we were children my grandmother would give us biscuits leftover from lunch to eat for snacks and we would poke a hole in the biscuit and fill it with syrup. When Mrs. Jackson would fry me pototoes, she would give me a biscuit too and let me fix my own hole for the syrup and pour it in... wouldn't you know it, I never rang the hole and always got syrup on my frys too. Now you know the rest of the story.

Enjoy them if you do try syrup. :)Phyllis Russell Franklinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06545981965737938065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902772127612703887.post-521198869556052842008-04-12T12:48:00.000-04:002008-04-12T12:48:00.000-04:00i agree with joni....age helping me go about thing...i agree with joni....age helping me go about things differently....and seeing things differently....depending more on God in all things....
i will have to try this recipe....i have never had sweet potato fries....with syrup...hmmmm
time to try something new.
hugs,
kimberlykimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08958903433838099896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902772127612703887.post-90882424798200632372008-04-12T12:30:00.000-04:002008-04-12T12:30:00.000-04:00Thank goodness we have the grace of God to trump a...Thank goodness we have the grace of God to trump anything the devil might try to trip us up with. Lately I've come to weigh mere thought with what the devil is capable of. I actually get perturbed at myself when a bad thought slips in...I've gotten pretty good about keeping things locked in my mind, but ocassionally (like when someone pulls out in front of me in a car or something) I think things that I know are very displeasing to God and then I am compelled to ask forgiveness and then pray for that person...everytime I pray I can feel God's grace settle everything and push those devil-induced thoughts right out. I think this has come with age because I use to never think about getting rid of my mental baggage this way. I think it has quite possibly steered me into always looking for the good in everything...or at least try.

I love sweet potatoes! Mashed, fried, baked...mmmm...and they are so very healthy to eat.

hope your saturday is a day of peace and tranquility ~
hugs,

JoniJoni https://www.blogger.com/profile/01471677167011145245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4902772127612703887.post-10617727655266010342008-04-12T11:26:00.000-04:002008-04-12T11:26:00.000-04:00Thank you Phyllis, I read your blog after posting ...Thank you Phyllis, I read your blog after posting mine, I should have read yours first, I have a very difficult time trying to be nice to my husband's friend's spouse, Thank you for the reminder this morning..Hug's AnnetteAnnettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11248700489568481970noreply@blogger.com
