14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
NPR has a program called "This I Believe" where folks submit essays on what they believe. If I wrote an essay for the program, the verse quoted above would be at the heart of it.
Today's photograph is from the festival I went to over the weekend and had the opportunity to paint with a group of plein air painters. I painted but have to admit I enjoyed people watching as much as I did painting. Many of the people who came to the festival came dressed like folks did in the 1800's. A photographer had a booth behind the place I had chosen to paint and I turned and caught his photograph with my digital camera while he was busy working. I'm telling ya, I'm extremely glad I don't have to wear the clothes they ladies did in the 1800's.

I love it, confifence...something we all lose sight in. Once I went a retreat and anything and everything that was holding us back from getting closer to our Lord we put on little pieces of paper and we pinned them to this cross and we left them behind, for now they were at the cross and you know it helped me, this just reminded me of that.
